Tony Moore is a seasoned litigator who has focused on the defense of civil lawsuits for over a decade. For nearly 8 years before that, Tony gained extensive trial experience as a prosecutor with the Colorado Springs City Attorney’s Office — where he eventually served as the supervisor of the Prosecution Division. Since entering private practice in 2013, Tony has successfully defended individuals and entities throughout the state of Colorado, including physicians, other healthcare providers, and multiple hospitals, corporate property owners, and other businesses. Tony and Julie Warren have worked closely together since 2017, and have shared many successes over the years. He is proud to be one of the original members of the Warren Law Group with its founder Julie Warren.
Tony’s extensive experience involves all phases of the civil litigation process; including written discovery, expert witness consultations, depositions, motions practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trial. He is adept at assembling multi-disciplinary teams of experts to mount a strategic and well-supported defense. As a former prosecutor and experienced civil litigator Tony has tried many bench and jury trials. Tony’s accomplishments also include successful outcomes through effective motions practice, and appellate briefing before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. After trying dozens of Municipal Court cases to a jury, Tony obtained a defense verdict in favor of a corporate property owner at his first civil jury trial. He has worked tirelessly to achieve dismissal of claims against clients, or summary judgment in their favor, where possible. Tony is prepared to thoroughly and zealously try his client’s cause to a jury when necessary. He has been a key contributor in obtaining defense verdicts in favor of physicians at jury trials since teaming up with Julie Warren in November of 2017.
Tony’s recent achievements include dismissal of claims against a variety of entities and healthcare professionals in the early phases of litigation, and even working to achieve voluntary dismissal of claims by multiple Plaintiffs after many months of strategically defending the lawsuit. He has also effectively negotiated a wide range of positive outcomes when dismissal is not possible and trial may be disadvantageous for one reason or another.
Tony has also represented numerous healthcare professionals in responding to administrative disciplinary complaints. He uses his skill in gaining an understanding of each individual’s unique perspective, and analysis of complex medical concepts, to help them refine their approach and present their thought-process in an articulate, sympathetic, and understandable manner. Tony also has prior administrative law experience as the former lead liquor licensing prosecutor for the City of Colorado Springs, and presented multiple high stakes contested hearings to the City’s Liquor Board.
Tony has contributed to the greater legal community and exhibited leadership as a member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Litigation Section Executive Council and by engaging in the efforts of the Colorado Supreme Court Well-Being Recognition Program for Legal Employers since its formal inception in 2023, including as a participant in the Colorado Lawyer Well-Being Leadership Cohort in 2024. With the CBA Litigation Section Executive Council, he has served on the planning committee for the Litigator’s Summit for multiple years.
Tony and Julie work collaboratively with their talented and dedicated staff to advance their clients’ interests and provide them with reassurance throughout the course of their legal matter. Their opponents find them to be formidable yet courteous adversaries. They also build professional working relationships with counsel for co-defendants in complex and high stakes lawsuits.
